Cancellations & Restrictions
Federal Licence/Passport Denial
If the payor is more than $3000 in arrears we can notify the federal government to refuse to issue or suspend the payor’s passport, federal aviation or marine licences.
The denial stays in place:
- as long as the maintenance order or agreement is enrolled with the FMEP,
- until the payor arranges to pay the arrears, or
- we decide to withdraw the denial based on a review of the payor’s circumstances.

Driver’s Licence Cancellation

The cancellation stays in place:
- as long as the maintenance order or agreement is enrolled with FMEP,
- until the payor makes an arrangement to pay the arrears, or
- we decide to withdraw the action based on a review the case.

The restriction stays in place:
- as long as the maintenance order or agreement is enrolled with FMEP,
- until the payor makes arrangements to pay the arrears, or
- we withdraw the action based on a review the case.
