  • The British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General established the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program in 1989.
  • Over $2 billion of maintenance has been collected for families and children since the FMEP began.
  • As of March 2009, we had over 46,000 cases enrolled.
  • Between April 1 2008 and March 31, 2009, we collected $172.9 million in maintenance payments.
  • We serve just over 83,000 parents and 67,000 children, approximately one in fifteen children in British Columbia.
